The Invisible Detective
View on YouTube

As someone with a fascination for invisibility, I thought it would be interesting to create a game around it. After a lab accident, the player was framed for a crime they didn't commit and must use their invisiblilty powers to clear their name.

During prototyping I learned more about shaders and transitioning between them, working with an initial scene of inside a prison.

TormenTed

Wanting to brush up on 'ragdolling', I created a prototype where Ted, once loved but now discarded, wants revenge on his owner.

Survive the game, initially starting in the bedroom, by collapsing when humans are close, but completing missions when the coast is clear.

Fantasy Fight Club

More of a teaser trailer, I want to create a beat-em-up at some point in the future.

This scene allowed me to practice with lighting and see how much realism I could bring to fantasy models.

Wrecked

Inspired watching Tom Hanks in Cast Away, I wanted a similar virtual experience where the player attempted to survive on a desert island until getting rescued.

Skills improved during this creation were coding an inventory with combo objects, interacting with environments (e.g. fishing & chopping) and creating a UI using sprites created from 3D objects and a virtual joystick.

Dinosaurvive

I could think of many games where you hunted dinosaurs, but none where you played as the dinosaur.

Static Colour image

Featuring a number of dinosaur types and unique cavemen models, the idea is to survive the dinosaur age.

Squishy Frog
View on YouTube

What if the original Frogger game was based on actual events? Did anyone consider what that might look like?

Static Colour image

A mostly complete level featuring a minimap with render texture, moving vehicles, a jumping frog and...well, squishes.

"Untitled Explorer Game"

After discovering some explorer assets and missing playing arcade games like Indiana Jones, this was the result.

I created an opening scroll using Unity primitives and was introduced to getting into and driving a vehicle.

Honourable Mentions

Many other prototypes can be found on my YouTube channel like Bully For You, Tiptiles, Cowboy Games, Witch Way, Dead of the Knight, Snowdown and more! If there is a game genre you want to see a prototype for, let me know.
